… and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds. (Num 17:8)
Almond blossoms remind me of new seasons, new growth and a new opportunity to lay down my life before the King.
In the context of the Scripture, the blossoms also represents our vindication. We don’t have to defend ourselves. We can rest in His perfect peace. Just as with the house of Levi, the Lord will fight for His own.
However, vindication doesn’t always look like we would like it to. Sometimes our innocence will not be revealed in this life.
Our only job is to trust in God’s righteous judgement.
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. (Ex 14:14)
